The 22-track update, christened Rave & Roses Ultra comes with six additional tracks, notably the Selena Gomez-assisted remix of focus track ‘Calm Down’.
Rave & Roses was originally published in March 2022 on Mavin Global/Jonzing World. Since then, the collection has powered Rema to global success, securing him chart appearances and invitations to major stages.
Thematically, Rave & Roses Ultra doubles down on its predecessor’s thesis statement, which is an exploration of Rema’s dual personality of youthful recklessness and sensitivity.
“This album has different moods, different stories,” Rema said. “Just the recording process had different reasons that carried me to the studio, moments that just came out of the blue, but with the same goal. I didn’t have a solid written plan, so I literally approached this album with no fear or pressure. Every project will have different meanings to me, aside from the story they tell, but this one is a ‘sound-sealer’, and it’s that bridge to bring the fans closer to Rema.”
Meanwhile, Rema is set to take the project on the road to North America from 15 July. The tour
comprises 17 stops between Washington DC and Los Angeles.
