Mr Drew Clarifies Departure from Highly Spiritual Music

In a recent interview on TV3’s New Day, Ghanaian musician Mr Drew, born Andrew Nii Commey Otoo, shed light on his departure from his former record label, Highly Spiritual Music, owned by David Kojo Kyei, popularly known as Kaywa.

The ‘Dw3’ hitmaker clarified that his contract with the label had expired, and he chose not to renew it, emphasizing the importance of personal and professional growth. Mr Drew expressed his desire for progress and explained that remaining in one place for too long could hinder artistic development. He firmly stated, “Everyone desires growth; staying in one place for too long isn’t beneficial. It’s about moving forward.”

His decision to part ways with Highly Spiritual Music reflects his commitment to exploring new opportunities and expanding his artistic horizons. The artist expressed gratitude for his time with the label and acknowledged the role it played in his career. However, he emphasized the necessity of embracing change and seeking fresh experiences to evolve as an artist.
