Ghana Police and Military men involved in a heavy fight at makola market. (Video)
The Ghana Police and some military men have been involved in a heavy fight in the central business of Accra.
According to reports, the incident happened during the busy hours of Monday at Makola market, Accra.
What Happened?
Per reports, the military men who were assigned on official duty as security escorts for a bullion van got themselves into traffic during the busy hours of Monday at makola market.
They just couldn’t find their way out hence a policeman who was not in uniform at the time told them that the road was one-way so they can’t use it.
The military men and the mufti-clad policeman exchanged a few words, with the military men explaining to the policeman that they were on official duty and acting as security escorts for a bullion van.
One thing led to another, and the plainclothes officer was heckled.
The incident happened close to the Central Police Station so the police officers there were informed that one of their own, a Chief Inspector, had been assaulted.
The situation was utter chaos. The military men were overpowered by the police officers, who led them to their headquarters after some beatings.
